Who do I buy Office 365 from?

Just what is involved?

Office 365 can be purchased from almost anywhere. But, once purchased, who advises you on what you're using, and more importantly, how you're using it? Who do you trust to recommend and manage the changes? And just which Office 365 package is right for you?

In this case, you need someone who becomes a part of your business team, operating behind the scenes to keep you up and running. The cheapest package isn’t always the best as one of our clients found out. An Office 365 provider sold a business a web-based version of Office 365, which they used on multiple machines over a slow internet connection. Sounds confusing doesn’t it? Bad things can happen when you dontlook at the whole picture.

In this case, each time the business used Office 365, it would reach out to the internet to pull down the apps needed to do business. Multiplied over 6 or seven machines, the result was that the business had to wait minutes for emails to download and then more minutes for those emails to open all because they had been given the wrong option. They hated Office 365 because their provider had just sold a product and done nothing more.

Technology should always make things easier. We were able to go in, find the bottlenecks, and provide an Office 365 option that was installed locally on each machine. The result was an incredible speed up, a happy client with happy customers. We were able to monitor how the business used Office 365 and we continue to recommend changes that has saved our client money – money that go back into the business, not on IT overheads. We feel that’s how business should be run.

The moral of the story? You need a provider that looks at your needs, the way you do business and who your do business with – and then gets on board with you. Not just in “standard business hours”, but whenever you do business. Here at your IT Team, we become what our name suggests – Your IT Team. We want to see you succeed, because when you succeed, we do too.

If your business is struggling with its IT needs, why not take a fresh look. Read on, or contact us for more info

Hi, I’m Phil With almost 20 years in Tech Support, I’m passionate about helping people demystify technology. Technology in your terms is the way I like to think. I love what I do, who I do it with, and who I do it for. As an avid fan of motorcycling, kayaking, and traveling, I'm often on the move. But that doesn't stop me from getting the job done. I love the idea of cloud-computing, working from anywhere, and teaching others to do the same. I believe in old-fashioned customer service, which means being available, talking to people, taking the time to understand the issues that people have, and then helping them get it right. If you have questions about the technology that you are using, feel free to send them through. I don’t always have the answers, but I certainly can help you find them!
